The City of Ember Genre: Science Fiction Pages: 270 Main characters: Doon and Lina Author: Jeanne DuPrau Summary The City of Ember is a story about a girl named Lina and a boy named Doon who lives in the City of Ember along with hundreds of others young and old just going about their daily business. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but little did they know their city was dying. Stuff in Ember had started go down recently. I mean that literally. Many supplies like food and light bulbs had almost completely run out. Light bulbs were essential because in Ember the only source of light was light bulbs. There was no sunshine. Lina was a Messenger who ran on foot because there were no cars. Later Lina meets up with her old friend Doon and they find out the mayor is hoarding the supplies. Linas sister who is very young finds a instruction paper to get out of the city, she doesn’t know it so she eats part of it. Lina find this and deciphers it and realizes it’s how to get out of the city. She leads the city’s from the mayor and the city. I think the message is you can go from a so called nothing to something. Review I think this book would be good for a 5th or higher because it is a challenging read and has a massive storyline that is hard to keep track of. My favorite part is when they get out of the city because they have to escape the mayor who is basically a dictator.
I thought the theme was that you can go from a common city folk to a hero. What I didn't like about this book was it was just a little confusing to keep track of who's point of view it was in because it switch to from Lina to Doon almost every chapter Payson.
Sage the sister was a very young kid. I think she was about two years old so she didn't know what it said. It took them a few chapter to just figure out that it said instructions of egress or instruction how to leave.
Book Title: The Wild Robot Author: Peter Brown Number of Pages: 277 Genre: Survival Fiction and Fantasy Main Characters: Roz, Swooper, Fink, Dart, Digdown, Crowpoint, Pinktail, Loudwing, Brightbill, Mr. Beaver, Mrs. Beaver, Tawny, and Chitchat. Setting: On an island in the middle of nowhere. Summary: A robot named Roz wakes up on an island not knowing how she got there or why she was there. As Rob explored the island she was attacked by bears and threatened by storms. She realizes that the only way to survive is to adapt to her surroundings and learn how to survive on this island. She then camouflages herself into the wilderness so she could listen to the wild animals and learn their language so that she could communicate and make friends. She has a hard time making friends with the animals of the island but soon starts to mingle with them. She later finds a goose egg with other geese around it, so she takes it for her own and cares for it until it hatches and all through its childhood. Mr and Mrs. Beaver help Roz make a house and Tawny the deer helps her plant a garden. Roz goes through so many heartwarming events and some heartrending ones too trying to learn what she was made to do and what her purpose as a robot is. I think the theme of this book was that it's not bad to be new at something you've never done or go to new places because there's always people who can make you're day and make you feel good. Your Review (How did you like the book, and why? What was your favorite part? What did you like the most/the least about this book? Who would you recommend it to, and why?) I loved the book because it was something I don't think I would have normally read, and the storyline was really great with all sorts of adventures that made me excited to know what would happen next. My favorite part was when three robots landed on the island to take Roz away to her creators and all the animals fought the three robots while Roz ran for her life around the island. I loved it because it showed an immense amount of friendship and adventures. I would recommend this book to everyone because it of course has a harder reading level, and just the joy of the story is so fulfilling that any age could be read this and feel happy in the end.

It's time for her to do what she was made to do. It's time for her to Save the world.
Theme The theme of this story is never give up. Put other people before yourself, and protect what's most important to you.
Review This book was amazing. It leaves you hanging on the edge wanting more every second. It reminds me of other action books I’ve read. I love the short chapter James Patterson writes, that usually reveals something at the end, and makes you want to keep reading.
Recommendation I would recommend this book to anyone who loves action and suspense. I’d recommend this book to both boys and girls because there are both genders in the flock. This book deals with some pretty tough stuff, so you should probably be in middle school and above.

All is repaid, but Tara will miss all of her very special friends. Or maybe not! In the end, she moves to Willow Falls (with her immortal soul). The theme is that life isn’t fair. Also that karma is not just a joke.
Review I would recommend this book to grades 6-8. I really like this book and series because, for me, it is very relatable. I can connect with how people are feeling in the book and it is very cool. I would (personally) say that a girl might enjoy this, rather than a boy. I hope that someone reads it because it really is a great book.
Still A Work In Progress By: Jo Knowles Pages: 311 Genre: Realistic Fiction Author: Jo Knowles Main Characters: Noah, Emma, Mom, and Dad
Summary - Noah doesn't have the best school life, he always is fighting with his friends and getting teased. Noah goes through a little bit of depression and is always angry at everyone. However his sister doesn't have it too good either, Emma (his sister) has a eating disorder and ends up in the hospital after eating something she wasn't supposed to. After she gets out of the hospital she started starving herself, she ended up back in the hospital. However Emma never likes to talk about her disorder which doesn't help.
Review -On a scale of 1 - 5 I would probably only rate this book a 2. I thought that it was a great idea for a story but they could have more detail. They didn't really explain everything, like why Noah had depression the author kind of explained it but not thoroughly. I also think that this book would have been better for kids in 4th or 5th grade because it isn't that hard.
Reed - Well there is a spoiler if I do tell you the ending. The story is about both Noah and his Sister (Emma).
Ryan - I also didn't like how the author described Emma they acted like she was very different from everyone else even though she only had a eating disorder.

Main Characters: Pattie, Mai, Quang-Ha, Dell Duke, and Willow Summary
In the beginning of this book Willow, Dell Duke, Mai, and Quang-Ha are at an ice cream place that Dell Duke brought them to. Willow was talking to Mai how she talks in Vietnamese and Mai was teaching her some. Dell Duke did not talk much because he did not know how to talk in that language. Shortly after staying there for a little bit they leave, but Mai requested that they go by Hagen Oaks the park. She requested this so that Willow could see all of the humongous geese that live there. After visiting the park Dell Duke goes to drop Willow off at her house, but there are two police cars in her driveway. Willow was very curious about why they were there. She starts to wonder if her parents got worried about her coming home from school late, so they called the cops. Willow gets out of the car without it even stopping and takes two steps into her driveway. After taking those two steps an officer steps out of the car and asks if Willow knows Roberta and James Chance. Willow says yes and that she is their daughter. The other officer comes over and neither of them know what to say. They then see Dell Duke and pull him over to talk to him. They tell him how Willow’s parents passed away. After Willow gets told she stops counting by sevens, but Mai comes up with a terrific idea. Her idea is to lie to cops saying that Willow’s parents are great friends with her mom. So once she hears about this tragical incident, she runs into her mom’s nail salon and tells her all about. Fortunately she gets it all out before the cops come into the salon. Her mom decides to play along with this. So Mai’s mom Pattie told the cops that they were really close friends. So Willow is temporarily staying with them until further notice. Then Willow decides that she is not going back to school. In the middle of the book this lady comes and takes Willow to an orphanage. While Willow is at the orphanage she faints and cuts her head open. She doesn’t know where she is until she wakes up after getting stitches at the hospital. After figuring out where she is she decides to run away. She runs away to the library where she falls asleep again. Pattie gets a call from the lady that took her away and says that Willow ran away. Pattie calls Mai and tells her everything. So Mai and Dell Duke both went to look for her, but Mai knew exactly where she was. She was at the library. When Mai finds her she wakes her up and tells her that the people working at the orphanage are looking for her. Read the book to find out what happens.
Review The theme of this book I think is about people who have experienced hard times and pushing through and still being the person they were before. I also think that it has to do with friends coming together. I really liked this book because it is about a girl that has gone through a hard time and her friends tried and did help her. That is just what a true friend does. I also liked this book because it tells about these two girls who do not know each other and they come together as one. My favorite in this book is when Pattie, Mai, Quang-Ha, Dell Duke, and Willow all come together to make this big garden and they have to overcome all of these hardships that comes in the way. This is my favorite part because it shows how much they care about each other and how they want one another's dream to come true. What I liked the most about this book was theme and how everyone comes together to help one another. What I liked least about this book was that mentioned all the sad stuff that happened to Willow continually. I would recommend this book to anyone who is in sixth or seventh grade because it seems like it is around the grade level. I would also recommend this book to anyone who likes to read books about friends banding together and becoming one.
@Payson I would recommend this to everybody who like intense atmospheric pressure, its intense and make you want to know what happens next, and the theme is to keep going even when times are difficult.
@Avery I have already described the theme in the top comment, and my favorite part was when Dominic and his friends went out on their own to go save Ethan who was stuck on the mountain.
Title: The Fold Author: An Na Genre: Novel Number of Pages: 280 Main Characters: Joyce, Gina, Gomo, Helen, John
Summary: Joyce is a junior in high school and she has a huge crush on a guy named John Ford Kang. On the last day of school she manages to find enough courage to ask him to sign her yearbook, John signed it but he mistook her for one of the ugliest Korean girls in their class. After that Joyce wanted to take the summer to work on her appearance. Then one day Joyce's aunt Gomo won the lottery and decided to use it to buy presents for the whole family. Since Gomo is very into plastic surgery she decided to pay for Joyce to get an eye surgery. joyce then had a large decision to make, she had to decide between getting the fold done or disappointing her aunt and staying as she is. Joyce's best friend Gina thinks it would be a great idea for her to get the surgery but her older sister doesn't. Joyce goes to meet the doctor and he gives her a temporary fold and she instantly falls in love with her “new eyes”. She wears her eyes like this to the beach with Gina where she was finally noticed by the popular people, when one person offends Gina and Joyce doesn't defend her, Gina gets angry and storms off. Just when Joyce was going to chase after her she sees John Ford Kang. When he sees her he then mistakes her for Helen who is extremely beautiful and smart. The two start to talk and even flirt with each other until Joyce had to go a few minutes later. When Joyce gets home she finds her sister very upset. The two sisters began to talk and Helen told Joyce she was a Lesbian, this was shocking at first to Joyce but it brought them closer together. Eventually Gina and Joyce made up because it was to hard for them to be away from one another. A few days later their family goes to church where John and Joyce started to bond but then one of Joyce's eyelids fell causing her to rush to the bathroom where she overhears people gossiping about Helen being gay. Since Joyce didn't have time to fix her eyes she puts them back to normal and rushes to find Helen. She bumped into John but he treated her like there was nothing different about her and they made plans to talk later. She found Helen and they all left with their heads held high even though they could hear everyone whispering about Helen. Helen decided to move into the dorms instead of staying at home which would be best for her. Joyce then chose to not get the surgery because she desired she liked the way she was and didn't want to change because otherwise it wouldn't be her. She also made a deal so that Gomo would pay for Gina to have clear braces instead of the surgery. I think the theme of the book is that you shouldn't change who you are to make others like you and you should be loyal to who you truly are and people will treat you the same.
Review: I think this was pretty good, I liked how the author chose to end the book and how the characters were realistic. I didn't like how An Na chose to start the book and how Joyce's aunt was trying to make her get the surgery in the first place, but overall I thought the book was good. I don't think I would recommend it to anyone I know in particular. The book had a little bit of cursing so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 6th grade.
I thought it was pretty good but I found it kind annoying how most of Joyce's family and friends were trying to make her get the eye surgery in the first place.
Andys my favorite character because he was eating these shark liver pills that was making it so he couldent control his bladder but he was refusing to stop eating them for the majority of the book.
Book Title Sisters Author Raina Telgemeier Number of Pages 197 Genre Autobiography Main Characters Raina,Amara,Mom,Dad and Will Setting car, home, airport, cousins house.
Summery Raina is going on a road trip with her mom and sister and her brother Will. They are driving to their cousin's house. Their dad gets fired from his job at the beginning of the book. There are little mini stories in between pages of when Raina was younger. One was when Raina and Amara get pets. They go through at least 4 fish. Raina gets her own room Amara gets to have a pet snake. Raina hates snakes. They lose the snake in the van and later in the book they find it and freak out. The book ends with Raina being super nice to Armara and Raina talked till they got home.
Review I loved this book so much I would recommend this book to brett because he loves graphic novels. He has read ghost and sisters is the same author as sisters. I liked this book because, it was two sisters in a car for 3 weeks
Book title: Ghost Author: Raina Telgemeier # of pages: 240 Genre: fiction Main character: Cat, and Maya Setting: At Double Back (restaurant) Summary: The summary is, Cat was scared of ghosts at first. Then she hung out with ghosts for a while and got used to it. Cat didn’t like Carlos because when they met it was at the beginning of the ghost tour. She did not like Carlos because she thinks that he was messing around with them and she did not believe in ghosts. Almost at the end, Cat went to the ghost party with her friends, when she arrived she was impressed with what she saw. She saw Carlos playing in a band and she was happy to see him play. At the end of the party, she was playing in the band. She was dancing and playing and having a good time. When she arrived at home, she saw Maya laying on the floor, she thought she was dead. She got up and hardly had movement and then Carlos came in with a friendly ghost. They were talking and making friends.
Review: I recommend this book to Aidan because he like easy books and the book is easy to understand. I like the book because the book was easy to follow and the author did a good job on it. I don’t like the book because it’s on Cat point of view and I wish it was on Maya point of view as well. My favorite part was when she went to the ghost party with her new friends. The theme is if you are trying to scare off ghost, they will never leave.

A day later she is found in an abandoned rabbit den. She is not in good shape. Everyone is mad at Emmy. Meanwhile, Mrs. Barmy has planned a beauty pageant. Emmy doesn't trust her but almost everyone else in Rat City does. But in the end everything works out perfectly. I think the theme is trust.
Review: I liked this book very much. I liked it alot because there was suspense in parts and a little sadness in others. I also liked it because Emmy finally gets some friends. I don’t have a favorite part. I don’t have a favorite part because the entire book was great. The part I liked the most was the end. I’m not going to say what happens in case anyone is going to read it. I would recommend this to Violet because I know she read the book before this one, Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat, and because I think she would enjoy it alot.
Author: Todd strasser Pages: 258 Genre: fiction Main characters: his family and friends Setting: in the vault
Review: I thought this was a very good book I liked it the most because they had a fallout shelter. Which I liked because they were the only ones to prepare for this moment. The thing was they were the smartest people in the book so that's why I liked this book.
Summary: this book was about him and his family how they heard someone dropped a bomb on the radio. So they went in there shelter that was under ground. They were the only ones who had a fallout shelter so they lived there. Then the bomb dropped and so much people outside of the vault all died. The reason they lived was because they were the smartest of all the people they built a fallout shelter and it saved their lives and that's the reason they did not die. So they were the only ones to live out of so many people that means they were the smartest because they had a place under ground that could save them and keep them from dieing but a lot of other people died they were just some of the lucky ones who lived.

Title: Stick Dog Dreams of Ice Cream Author: Tom Watson Number of Pages: 217 Genre: Fiction Main Character(s): Stick Dog, Stripes, Poo-Poo, Mutt, and Karen Setting: Unknown
Summary: The Stick Dog series is a funny filled series with wonderful adventures. Some of the books are: Stick Dog Dreams of Ice Cream, Stick Dog Tries to Take the Donuts, and Stick Dog Chases a Pizza. In Stick Dog Dreams of Ice Cream Stick Dog, Stripes, Poo-Poo, Mutt, and Karen are witnessing the hottest day they have ever had! Then suddenly , they heard an awful noise,“I can hear some music off in the distance. Can you hear that? Let's all listen to it with our eyes closed.” In six seconds, Mutt said, “That's the most annoying music I've ever heard.” “Shh,” said Stick Dog. After another eight seconds, Karen added, “It's totally annoying.”
Later they found 4 “Rainbow Puddles” (ice cream puddles) and licked them until it was all gone. Stick Dog is a “Stick Dog”, Stripes is a Dalmatian, Poo-Poo is Poodle, Mutt is a Mutt, and Karen is a Dachshund. The theme of the story was for Stick Dog, Karen, Poo-Poo, Stripes, and Mutt to get ice cream and it is never good to make a plan without it being edited by the group.
Review: How did you like the book, and why? I liked it because I am a big fiction fan and the book was very adventurous and funny. An example that shows the book is funny is: “Chapter 9 Drips are Drippy.” (Pg.121) What was your favorite part? My favorite part was when Stick Dog and his group thought they were watching humans running around the sprinkler with their underwear on, but really they were watching human running around a sprinkler with their bathing suits on. What did you like the most/the least about this book? The thing I liked the most about the book is that the dogs are dumb. The thing I liked the least about the book is that one of the “Rainbow Puddles” was yellow. That bothered me because it was gross that one of the puddles looked like pee.
Who would you recommend it to, and why? I would recommend the book to Aidan Bryant because I think it is the kind of book he would be addicted to or in other words want to read more of.
Tittle:Just A Dog Author:Michael Bauer Summary This book is about Corey, his family, and his dog Mister Mosely. In the beginning it tells you how they got Mister Mosely from Corey’s uncle. Also that Mister Mosely was the runt of the litter. In the middle there is a story about how at the fair Corey got lost. A man and a lady found him and Mister Mosely saw Corey so he started barking really loudly and it scared the people that were going to take him to the police station that was supposedly right down the street. But they got scared when Mister Mosely barks so they zoom away. When Corey is in the car with his parents he asks them how far away is the police station and they say miles away at the next suburb. In the end Mister Mosely dies of cancer.
Review I liked this book because it is about dogs. I like to read books about dogs because I have two of my own. I have read a lot of books about dogs like A Dog's Life. I also liked this book ‘cause each chapter is a different story about Mister Mosely. My favorite part is when Mister Mosely scares the people away at the fair. What I liked about this book is that every chapter there was an individual story. I would recommend this book to anybody who liked the book Old Yeller because this book is sad like that book too. I would also recomend this book to anybody that likes dogs like me.

Vola decides to help Peter out and get him back on track only for three conditions the first condition is to be Nonnegotiable, Second condition why was peter carrying a charm bracelet around, and condition the third was to work on some puppets/marionettes for her.
Pax is the tame pet fox that gets set free by Peter and his father because of the war that is coming. When Peter and his father abandon him Pax sits by the road waiting for Peter to come back for him. While he is waiting, another fox along with her brother are out hunting for food and they encounter Pax. Runt (one of the foxes) wants Pax to go home with them so he did. Pax stays there for awhile and ends up meeting Gray (a fox who owns the territory where all of the foxes in that area live) and Gray helps Pax find Peter so that they will reunite once again. On their way one of the challenges are that they reach another Foxes territory but doesn’t like others passing through so he attacks Gray and bites his neck but Gray survived through the bite. Later in the book Gray steps on a landmine and that kills him.
Review: I really enjoyed this book because it was fun and adventurous and I have never read anything like it before. My favorite part was when Vola was talking to Peter about when she was in the army and she killed another person in the army. What I liked the most about this book is that a 12 year old kid set off by himself to search for a fox that had spent his life as a tame pet and didn’t know how to live a life on his own in the wilderness so that he wouldn’t die. I would recommend this to animal lovers and anyone who would go above and beyond for their beloved pet because this is about a boy who loved his pet so much that he set off on this amazing journey to save his pet.

Summary This is a story about a boy that becomes a pro basketball player and it goes from him being a little boy to him becoming one of the best basketball player and it goes through the characters life and so many things happen in the book that it makes it a really good book. I thought this was going to be a bad book but it turned out alright and I really liked it and I went through and through it was the best book that I have ever seen yet and it was a really good book and I think everyone should read it because of all of his adventure and it's mostly just a huge story about his life.
I think this could be one of the best stories ever and one of the best stories about a basketball player. I think I will read this book again because of all of the events that happen as the story goes on and on and on. I hope this book has a series or another book kind of like it because I loved this book.
Review My review was I really like this book and I want to read this book all over again because of all the cool stuff that a basketball player earns and I like how it is about his life and what happens is in the book and all the places they go to, then the things that they see is all in the book.
Summary He was at this fair and then met a man and his name was luke then Bown and luke got in a fight and they were showing off there muskels. Then bown went to get honey for then he met the bee that owned the nest so he gotr huny and got stung ouch. Then like 2 years all the people met and luke muscles wer 10 times bigger than bowns.
I like it because it has short pages. My favorite part was when he went to get honey and found the bee that owned it he got stung. I recamend this to Tyler B because he is funny and bown is funny. And because I saw him reading it once. And it was different.

Main characters: Doon and Lina
Author: Jeanne DuPrau
Summary
The City of Ember is a story about a girl named Lina and a boy named Doon who lives in the City of Ember along with hundreds of others young and old just going about their daily business.
Review
I think this book would be good for a 5th or higher because it is a challenging read and has a massive storyline that is hard to keep track of. My favorite part is when they get out of the city because they have to escape the mayor who is basically a dictator.
Nice job Ryan. What do you think the theme is? What did you not like about this book?
DeleteWhy does the sister choose to eat it? How do they find out what it said?
DeleteWhat do you like or dislike about the book?
DeleteI thought the theme was that you can go from a common city folk to a hero. What I didn't like about this book was it was just a little confusing to keep track of who's point of view it was in because it switch to from Lina to Doon almost every chapter Payson.
DeleteWas there anything you didn't like about the book?
DeleteSage the sister was a very young kid. I think she was about two years old so she didn't know what it said. It took them a few chapter to just figure out that it said instructions of egress or instruction how to leave.
DeleteWhy is there no sunshine?
DeleteKaleb sorry I forgot to write that they live in a underground city but you will have to read the books to find out why they live underground

Number of Pages: 277
Genre: Survival Fiction and Fantasy
Main Characters: Roz, Swooper, Fink, Dart, Digdown, Crowpoint, Pinktail, Loudwing, Brightbill, Mr.
Who would you recommend it to, and why?)
I loved the book because it was something I don't think I would have normally read, and the storyline was really great with all sorts of adventures that made me excited to know what would happen next.
Did this book take place in the future? Were there humans in this book?
DeleteWhat do you think the theme was or did I just not see it.
DeleteI do not know wether or not this book takes place in the future. Yes there are humans in this book.

It's time for her to do what she was made to do. It's time for her to Save the world.
Theme
The theme of this story is never give up. Put other people before yourself, and protect what's most important to you.
Review
This book was amazing. It leaves you hanging on the edge wanting more every second. It reminds me of other action books I’ve read. I love the short chapter James Patterson writes, that usually reveals something at the end, and makes you want to keep reading.
Recommendation
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves action and suspense. I’d recommend this book to both boys and girls because there are both genders in the flock. This book deals with some pretty tough stuff, so you should probably be in middle school and above.
Does she save the world in the end? What is the flock?
DeleteI think the theme is part of the summary and the recommendation I'd part of the review.
DeleteThis isn't the last book. Sorry! The flock is the group of half kids half birds that she lives with.

Main Characters: Tara, all of her friends, Angelina DeAngelo, and her relatives.
Setting: Willow Falls
Summery
Tara Brennan is a girl who just wants to fit in. But she is different. She wears all black and brown and is painfully shy. And to try to fit in with the cool kids she has an incident with pepper spray, the principle, and a goat. It did not end well! For punishment she gets sent to the sleepy little town of Willow Falls by her parents, instead of going with them to Madagascar. She was so mad!
Once she got there she moved in with her cousin Emily. She was about her age. Tara soon met Emily’s friends: Rory, Leo, Amanda, and David.
Unfortunately she lost her money on the train, she had to sell something. She decided to sell only her Uncle's most prized possession! His Fantastic 4 comic book! When she went to sell it, the old lady who would give her the money recognized it. She was the one that sold it to him! Tara was in big trouble… unless… maybe she could do the little old lady some favors. But Angelina D'Angelo was no ordinary lady, she was magic, and kind of mean. If Tara couldn't get these 13 objects before her 13 birthday on Friday the 13, then, supposedly, lose her immortal soul! In spite of fear, Tara geared up with her new friends and went on a serious search. Luckily her friends had a history with Angelina, so they were ready for the task. One by one, task by task, they collected all the objects… but of the wrong list. To repay for her foolishness, Angelina makes Tara put on her favorite play. It was a huge hit! All is repaid, but Tara will miss all of her very special friends. Or maybe not! In the end, she moves to Willow Falls (with her immortal soul).
The theme is that life isn’t fair. Also that karma is not just a joke.
Review
I would recommend this book to grades 6-8. I really like this book and series because, for me, it is very relatable. I can connect with how people are feeling in the book and it is very cool. I would (personally) say that a girl might enjoy this, rather than a boy. I hope that someone reads it because it really is a great book.
This sounds really good! Why did the lady sell the comic to her uncle in the first place?

How does the book end? Is the story about Noah or his sister? I am confused.
DeleteIs the lack of detail the only thing you didn't like about the book?
DeleteDid you like the ending of the book?
DeleteReed - Well there is a spoiler if I do tell you the ending. The story is about both Noah and his Sister (Emma).
DeleteRyan - I also didn't like how the author described Emma they acted like she was very different from everyone else even though she only had a eating disorder.
Not really I think it could have been better if the author took more time and added more detail

Main Characters: Pattie, Mai, Quang-Ha, Dell Duke, and Willow
Summary
Review
The theme of this book I think is about people who have experienced hard times and pushing through and still being the person they were before.
What do you think the theme is? Just asking you know.
DeleteIs it cheating if I count by 8's
DeleteI said in the beginning of the review. Just like the first sentence.

DeleteYes very much so. It is against her thinking.

Review:
I think this was pretty good, I liked how the author chose to end the book and how the characters were realistic.

The summary is, Cat was scared of ghosts at first.

Summary: Emmy is finally is free from Mrs. Barmy. She can have friends and build tree forts. But Mrs. Barmy is back. And she’s up to no good. Pretty soon Cecelia, Ratson’s sister, starts delivering messages. All too soon, when she delivers a message to Emmy, some girls throw stones at her, she gets hurt.
Emmy didn't try to stop them until it was too late. Cecelia walks away leaving a trail of blood behind her. When Emmy gets to Rat City, Cecelia is not there.

The reason they lived was because they were the smartest of all the people they
built a fallout shelter and it saved their lives and that's the reason they did not die. So they were the only ones to live out of so many people that means they were the smartest because they had a place under ground that could save them and keep them from dieing but a lot of other people died they were just some of the lucky ones who lived.

Genre: Fiction
Main Character(s): Stick Dog, Stripes, Poo-Poo, Mutt, and Karen
Setting: Unknown
Summary:
The Stick Dog series is a funny filled series with wonderful adventures. Some of the books are: Stick Dog Dreams of Ice Cream, Stick Dog Tries to Take the Donuts, and Stick Dog Chases a Pizza. In Stick Dog Dreams of Ice Cream
Stick Dog, Stripes, Poo-Poo, Mutt, and Karen are witnessing the hottest day they have ever had! Then suddenly , they heard an awful noise,“I can hear some music off in the distance. Can you hear that? Let's all listen to it with our eyes closed.” In six seconds, Mutt said, “That's the most annoying music I've ever heard.”
“Shh,” said Stick Dog.
Review:
How did you like the book, and why? I liked it because I am a big fiction fan and the book was very adventurous and funny. An example that shows the book is funny is: “Chapter 9 Drips are Drippy.” (Pg.121)
What was your favorite part?
Who is Karen?
DeleteThis book sounds really funny. Do you think I would like it????:|
DeleteYeah Natalie I think you would love it because the dogs are really dumb.
DeleteAnd that's like the most funny part!
Thanks for the answer Gavin.:)
DeleteKaren is a Dachshund. (FYI)
DeleteGavin, this sounds really funny. Is it in the book in the library?
DeleteWow Maddy! I would hate to be Gray! Was Gray one of the main characters?

Summary
This book is about Corey, his family, and his dog Mister Mosely.
Review
I liked this book because it is about dogs.
Looks like a good book. How much did you like it. 1-10?
Delete9.But if it was a scale from 1-100 I would say 99. Because it was really sad at the end and made me cry.
DeleteNatalie this book sounds really cool!! We're did you get it?

Where,is the review?
DeleteDoes Natasha love her headphones ?
DeleteGretchen is this your favorite book??:|
DeleteWhere did Natasha come from? Did they sneak in to America? Why didn't Natasha go back to her country? Who was she living with now that her father was gone?
DeleteThis sounds really sad, but exciting.
DeleteYes Natasha loves her head phones because she had them before she came to America. They where the only thing she had and when they broke it upset her.
Deletethis is not my favorite book but it's still a good book. I don't know where Natasha came from but she did sneak to America. I don't know if Natasha went back to her country. Her father is still there and living with Natasha and her mom. Natasha and her father just do not have a good relationship.
DeleteRecommendation- I would recommend this book to any girl in 6-8. It does say some bad words in it though. This book was not my favorite book that I have read but it is a really good book. It leaves suspense and I was wondering what was going to happen. I would recommend this book to Maddy and in a couple of years Ella, Natalie, and Ally.

Genre: Fiction
Main Characters: Pax, Peter

Summary:
Peter is a 12 year old boy who had to let his pet fox go out into the wild because there was war coming so they couldn’t take care of him anymore. Peter chose that Pax won’t survive by himself in the wilderness so he sets off on a journey to find Pax and bring him home. On the way he hurts his foot and finds a barn to spend the night in a barn turned out to belong to a woman named Vola that lived in a log cabin at the top of the hill.
